The ACS "green" gas R472 at MCE Mostra Convegno Expocomfort
The sustainability of R472, the ACS refrigerant gas for ultra-low temperature applications, at MCE Mostra Convegno Expocomfort, Rho Fiera Milano.
The sustainability of R472, the ACS refrigerant gas designed for Ultra-Low temperature applications, is among the protagonists of the conference "FROM F-GAS REGULATION TO ALTERNATIVE REFRIGERANTS: IMPACT ON NEW AND EXISTING PLANTS", on 30/06 at MCE Mostra Convegno Expocomfort, Rho Fiera Milano, the trade fair dedicated to companies in the industry of HVAC+R, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The ACS talk "R472A/B LOW GWP FLUIDS FOR LOW-TEMPERATURE PLANTS", in partnership with Nippon Gases, is scheduled for 11:45 am, during the first session of the conference.
The ACS contribution
The topic is highly relevant and closely concerns the environmental testing sector: we will discuss the impact of the fluorinated greenhouse gas regulation on refrigeration systems.
The EU F-gas regulation is a community-wide initiative that intends to counteract the climate change phenomenon by limiting F-gas emissions, through a roadmap that regulates the quantities of gas on the market through CO2-equivalent quotas.
To develop a temperature below -50°C, most environmental test chambers use R23, one of the gases under regulation due to its high GWP, a value that expresses the effect of gas with respect to CO2 and which will be subject to a drastic reduction from 2030 onwards.
The new R472 refrigerant gas developed by the ACS R&D team is the solution that combines the desire to achieve extreme temperatures with climatic chambers with the need to preserve the planet from global warming. Available on the market as R472A and R472B, it has the lowest GWP value ever, is safe (already ASHRAE certified), is compatible with conventional refrigeration components, and enables higher performance than R23 for the most common applications.
The conference
The round table is promoted by the Centro Studi Galileo and the National Association of Refrigeration Technicians. The appointment is in Hall 13 at the Conference & Business Area, from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. divided into two sessions. The ACS talk, scheduled for 11:45 a.m., will be given by Engineer Patrizio Quattrocchi with Andrea Ulivi of Nippon Gases.
Nippon Gases, ACS's exclusive partner for the industrialisation, production and distribution of our 'green gas', is one of the world's top gas producers with a strong international presence.
For the entire event, from 28 June to 1 July, further information on the innovative R472 is available at Nippon Gases stand N49, Hall 22, Rho Fiera Milano.
